Pulgaon (Maharashtra), Dec 20: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) CAD Pulgaon, Maharashtra, organized a grand alumni meet on Monday, bringing together former students from the 1965 to 2020 batches who completed their Class 10th or 12th at the school.
The event was held on December 15 to mark the Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). Brigadier Prashant Kumar (AVSM) of CAD Pulgaon graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Prashant Kumar said, “I feel that in today’s scenario, the ‘jack of all trades’ will succeed; specialization will come subsequently. After the 12th grade, you should explore every field like a five-star buffet and then choose the one you like. Also, give your children good family values. Success is achieved through hard work, but you must also be a smart worker.”
A large number of alumni, along with their spouses and children, participated in the meet, reconnecting with their alma mater and sharing memories of their school days. Several former and serving teachers were also present, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.
The Chief Guest highlighted the role of Kendriya Vidyalayas in shaping disciplined, responsible citizens and lauded the achievements of alumni across various fields. The event concluded with interactive sessions, cultural activities, and expressions of gratitude toward the teachers who played a key role in shaping the lives of generations of students.
On the occasion, KV Principal Shri Sunil Pardesi stated that the unique achievement of Kendriya Vidyalaya is that it is truly a “Mini India.”
“We find students from all states here, fostering remarkable unity in diversity. The idea for this meet was simple: KV wants to know where our children are, and we are eager to hear their success stories. Every student is a 'KVian,' and this reunion affirms that we are a family. We celebrate their success in every field—from teachers, doctors, and engineers to army officers,” he noted.
He expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Smt. Megha Chauhan and Shri Atul Thakre, teachers at KV Pulgaon, whose contribution was instrumental in the success of the event. He also lauded the organizing task force, including Vaijaynti (2000 batch), Vishal (1996 batch), Vivek (1998 batch), Rachan (1998 batch), Krishnan (1987 batch), Bhushan (2005 batch), Sonam (2007 batch), and Ishani (2002 batch).
